COVID-19 Pandemic Update Ricci Orthodontics will be CLOSED until the Pandemic has resolved.
To all Patients, Families and Friends of Ricci Orthodontics
We are dedicated to your health and safety as we prepare ourselves for the local impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. As of this afternoon, our President issued a national guideline that no groups larger than 10 people gather. On top of this, group gatherings around the country have been canceled or postponed. It seems likely that a broader quarantine may occur soon.
Dr. Ricci has been closely monitoring the guidelines set by the Centers for Disease Control and the Georgia Department of Public Health. While the state of Georgia has not, as of now, mandated ofLice closures, both the American Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontists have issued a nationwide recommendation to postpone all non-emergent procedures for the next 3 weeks.
With the above guidance in mind, we have decided to close our office until it is safe to resume care. For as long as possible, staff will be available by phone Monday through Thursday 9-1pm to schedule appointments. We will be available by scheduled appointment to see emergency/comfort appointments as needed. Our knowledgeable staff will be able to help you through many issues without the need to come in, and they will also be able to determine if it will be best to schedule an appointment with Dr. Ricci.
As of today, our office staff is calling our patients that are scheduled from now until April 16th to reschedule those procedures. The most current disease progression models suggest that the Pandemic could impact us for 8 weeks or longer. With that in mind, we are moving all appointments forward by 7 weeks which takes us to the month of May. It is our sincere hope that we either open earlier or that we do not have to reschedule a second time. If you have an appointment during the weeks of April 20th or 27th, we are keeping those for now with the hope of returning by then. We will be in touch soon to reschedule, and we plan to add days into our future schedule in an effort to minimize the impact to ongoing orthodontic treatment.
Over the next few weeks, we will closely monitor federal and state recommendations, and will reopen when it is appropriate or reschedule more appointments as necessary. We all know that the COVID-19 pandemic is likely to disrupt our daily lives for some time. We will do our best to minimize any inconveniences during this difficult time. We sincerely appreciate your understanding as we try to do the right thing for our patients and our staff.
