Many people do not realize that pain around their forehead, temples, neck, and jaw could actually be interconnected. The muscles that run along one’s jaw and mouth can cause imbalances that result in chronic headaches. Orthodontists can utilize FDA-approved TruDenta® to help manage long-term head pain.
What Is TruDenta® Headache Pain Treatment?
Unlike many other treatment options that only mask the pain, TruDenta® actually addresses the root cause of the pain. Dr. Steven Ricci uses a combination of techniques derived from sports medicine to target improper muscle forces in the head. This includes muscles and other soft tissue around the neck, jaw, and temples.
Why Would I Want TruDenta® Treatment?
Modern research continues to show us that many of the causes of TMJ, tinnitus, vertigo, tension headaches, and chronic headaches are actually interconnected. This includes uneven forces throughout the head that will affect a patient’s chemical and nerve reactions. These issues can also be the result of head or neck trauma from car accidents, bad posture, and sports injuries. As an alternative to masking the pain with medication, TruDenta® provides long-term pain relief by treating the root cause of your discomfort.
Studies have shown us that around 45 million Americans suffer from recurring headaches. The TruDenta® system is an effective strategy for treating these issues without the need for multiple surgeries, painful shots, or addictive prescription medication. With the TruDenta® system, patients will finally be able to enjoy relief from chronic pain.
How Does Treatment Work?
This process begins with a thorough health examination and screening carried out by Dr. Steven Ricci. Patients will need to inform our orthodontist of their medical history, any prescription medication that they are taking, and recent injuries. Dr. Steven Ricci can then use TruDenta® technology to pinpoint the cause of the pain in order to create a comprehensive and personalized treatment plan.
The goal of the TruDenta® System is to retrain the muscles and nerves that are connected to the trigeminal nucleus so that they can once again function in a healthy manner. The average appointment lasts for just 50 minutes and is completely pain-free. Depending on the severity of your pain, you will need anywhere from 1 to 12 treatments. These treatments should take place one week apart.
How Much Does TruDenta® Treatment Cost?
The cost of TruDenta® generally ranges from a couple hundred dollars to several thousand dollars. We offer several options for paying for your TruDenta® treatment. One of the options is our in-house, INTEREST-FREE monthly payment plan. We also offer outside financing for people that need to make payments for a period of time that is longer than the treatment time. In addition, our office accepts payments by cash, checks and Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover credit cards.
Does Insurance Cover this Treatment?
All insurance policies are slightly different. Patients will need to speak with one of our team members to see about their current policy. Some companies will cover a portion of the cost while others will cover the cost in full.
